Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach is undoubtedly the m Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach is undoubtedly the most iconic location along the Oregon Coast and one of the most photographed landmarks—rightfully so! That didn’t stop me from snapping even more pictures of this stunning natural beauty 📷 I love experimenting with unique perspectives when capturing these remarkable sights (I added a few more to our stories)! While I’m not a professional landscape photographer, my passion for photography drives me to capture everything around me 😉 IYKYK! Fun fact: The last time we visited this beach was in October 2017 when sweet Kenji was still in my belly (swipe for a photo 😉)! It was our first year on the road 🥰

While it could use some improvements (the spacious sites with full hookups make up for it), it’s still one of our favorite campgrounds in Washington! Paddling the beautiful Columbia River, beneath the basalt cliffs, at sunset, with friends, is just another reason why we’ve embraced this lifestyle as long as we have ❤️ These moments are short lived but we’ll always have the memories and, of course, the chance to do it again 🥰 Bonus: it’s conveniently located to The Gorge! And if you’re curious, the other wonders are Mt. Hood, the Columbia River Gorge, Crater Lake, the Painted Hills, the Wallowas and Smith Rock 😊 We plan to spend the month of November in Oregon, and while it will be quite chilly, we look forward to exploring more wonders of this beautiful state! BTW, this is the beach across the highway from the @thousandtrails Pacific City campground! And is one our favorite places to camp! 📍Leavenworth, WA is such a charming Bavarian-th 📍Leavenworth, WA is such a charming Bavarian-themed village situated on the Wenatchee River and nestled in the Cascade Mountains! Georgeous ❤️ We only had a short visit but we’ll be back to fully immerse ourselves in this unique town and to play on the beautiful Wenatchee River 😊 Side note: we camped @thousandtrails Crescent Bar (LOVED) which is about an hour to this adorable town. When we left for Japan back in march, I had all th When we left for Japan back in march, I had all the intensions in the world to continue homeschooling. Well, I soon realized that exploring the wonders of Japan was far greater than anything I could teach my kids from a textbook. So, I threw it all out the window. And upon returning to the states, I made the executive decision to continue this unschooling, roadschooling or whatever you want to call it and just fully EMBRACE our summer travels without the stress of school! And it’s been so dreamy! I think in the future, I will continue to add in long breaks from homeschooling for my sanity and to reevaluate what my kids need! But we must continue fulfilling the educational path and get back to the books! So to commemorate, I paid them each $5 for these back to school pics! If you can get past my pronunciation of “Onigiri If you can get past my pronunciation of “Onigiri”… My husband really did like my Onigiri, which is a rice ball that can have a variety of fillings and wrapped in seaweed. This is a popular food in Japan and was my favorite convenient store snack! Note: I was able to get that perfect shape from a mold I bought at Daiso (think dollar store but way better)! This kid found a leftover burning log and proceeded to create the most lovely fire for us on the beach, under the moon and stars. It was so lovely ❤️ BTW, this is the first time we’ve ever had a fire on the beach. And it seems to be a thing here in Oregon! Love it!
